O'Connor Constructors worked hand-in-hand with their sister company O'Connor Corporation to install a Selective Catalytic Reduction system on unit #3. O'Connor Constructors provided foundations for the 212 foot steel tower which supports sophisticated technology installed to reduce NOX emissions. The Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) had to be installed in the path of the gas, between the boilers and the stacks. This required relocating existing duct work, structural steel, conduit and electrical services all within a confided area. The foundations for the tower required rock anchors to support the 90 tons of steel and equipment.
