Part of the Northeast Utilities System, PSNH has several plants and have continually invested in environmental upgrades and maintenance. O'Connor Corporation has worked with PSNH on their Merrimack, Newington and Schiller Stations to identify and perform maintenance projects and plant upgrades. Because so many of their customers rely on the power they produce, it is important that they run efficiently and dependably. In addition it is PSNH policy to see that these facilities run as pollution-free as possible.

  • Merrimack Station, Bow, NH
    O'Connor Corporation has held the maintenance contract at Merrimack Station for the past three years. During that time O'Connor Corporation has completed a variety of projects on the 120MW /330MW units, including replacement of loops on the economizer, replacement of the super heater, re-heater and extensive maintenance. In addition, O'Connor was selected to perform maintenance on the Selective Catalytic Reduction System (SCR). The economizer and re-heater were completed in the spring of 2003. The project required over 4000 welds and was completed in seven weeks. Merrimack supplies 189,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers.

  • Schiller Station, Portsmouth, NH
    Schiller Station is PSNH's has been in continuous operation for five decades. Projects performed include maintenance on the economizer, replacement of generating banks and replacement of a super heater. Schiller Station supplies 83,500 residential, commercial and industrial customers. In a recent outage, the generating bank on Schiller Station #4 unit was replaced in 28 days and the super heater was replaced in 32 days.

  • Newington Station, Newington, NH
    O'Connor Corporation is currently supplying Newington Station with pipefitters and millwright services on a multi year maintenance contract.
