Regina Cleri

Regina Cleri Retirement Residence
Boston, Massachusetts

In 1997 O'Connor Constructors renovated all floors and constructed a seven story 12,000 square foot addition to this residence for retired clergy. The project was conducted while the building remained occupied and operational. Floor by floor phased renovation required careful coordination of the various subcontractors to create a seamless mix of renovation and new construction while minimizing noise levels and disruptions for the residents.

The renovations included a new lobby, covered entry, dinning room, card room, library, common areas, nursing stations, chapel, laundry facilities, a new full service kitchen, modernization and additions to building mechanical systems, elevators and updated life safety and handicapped access in order to meet building code standards. In addition to renovating all floors, O'Connor constructed a seven story addition adding twelve suites to the existing 50,000 square foot, steel framed brick veneer building. During the project the building was occupied by residents whose average age was 84.

O'Connor completed the project with new floor coverings and decorative corridor details, a new sound system and security system.

O'Connor Constructors was hired to replace the buildings windows, upgrade the heating system, add air conditioning and install landscaping and security and improvements to the buildings grounds. Renovations were completed in the summer of 2005.
